Transparency and Clean Government

We only started to get a clean Government with the inclusion of Deputy Mayor Cathy Weber

and Councilman Prakash Santhana, under the leadership of Mayor Greg Buontempo. I must be

frank, many prior mayors and councilmen of the recent past, failed to provide a clean and

transparent government. I am for no back-room deals; all information to be provided to

Holmdel residents. People should be able to watch proceedings from the comfort of their

homes, and questions their representatives in live sessions. This would flesh out all issues ,

pros and cons, and for an informed citizenry to help decide the correct steps forward after

participating in appropriate and detailed discussion.

I must frankly point out that prior to 2020, the township was plagues with corruption and

conflicts of interest. Former mayor Pat Impreveduto collected funds from Barclays square

Developers for his campaign the application for Barclays Square development came in front of

the Planning Board; Zoning variance requirements were changed to accommodate the

Developer’s application. Is that not “Pay to Play” ?

Why vote for Rocco ? May I ask ? How far does an Apple fall from the tree ?
